Les Carroz is the only ski-resort in France to own its hot-air
balloon.
Tourist Office, the manager, makes the best possible use of it
(advertisement and flights all the year long).
Since
1993, february has been a significant period due to"the
weeks of the hot-air balloon and mountain in winter" arranged
with our trading partner "PRIMAGAZ". The week opens
on sunday with a public event.
The 6 others days are a training period for the balloonists (introduction
or advanced training to fly highly in the mountains).
Since
1997, Les Carroz has been the only ski-resort in France
to have a label "mountain training approved" by Fédération
Française d'Aéro-station. The idea of the "mountain
training" was found in 1992. Les Carroz had arranged, at
that time, 3 meetings and had noted that most of balloonists wanted
to expand their knowledge about the flights in the
mountains..
So,
during 20 days, you will be filled with admiration for the
hot-air balloons rising smoothly into the air.
